Each year Redfin.com puts out its list of the hottest neighborhoods throughout the country. This annual top ten list is a “who’s who” of places where people are looking to find homes as quickly as possible. Some of the most established and desired neighborhoods in the country were once included on this prestigious list. It takes into account things like access to transportation, charm and housing costs, but more importantly whether or not each neighborhood has the X-factor to bring in buyers. This year Redfin included Midtown Ventura and El Camino Real in Irvine as two of the hottest cities in the country. These two Southern California hot spots have been included on this year’s list of hottest neighborhoods in the United States.
The Midtown Community in Ventura
Midtown Ventura is an assemblage of growing residential neighborhoods that have a strong sense of community and pride throughout. The municipality has well supported schools, plenty of retail shops as well as a larger shopping mall, a wide range of businesses, and two hospitals. There are many places for people to work and play. With ample growth and community involvement, Midtown is an excellent place to buy if you are hoping to become a part of the Southern California community. Residents can also enjoy many different social events like Food Truck Friday, which happens every third Friday in the Pacific View Mall. Residents can enjoy “family, friends and food” with more than 20 food trucks each week. Those looking to volunteer can join the “Adopt-a-School” program where locals team up and make improvements at schools throughout the community. Midtown Ventura is a great place for those who want to not just buy a home but become part of a community.
El Camino Real Community in Irvine
The Irvine community known as El Camino Real is an established housing area that is seeing unexpected growth and transformation. Irvine as a whole has experienced a great deal of new development in recent years, however much of the new construction is two-story homes on small plots of land. What is spurring on such a spike in popularity in El Camino Real’s properties are the larger one story homes that are situated on much larger lots. Additionally the city has excellent schools and is located in close proximity to shopping, businesses and restaurants. Like in Midtown Venture, there is a growing sense of community among the residents of El Camino Real. There are plenty of ways to volunteer in the community to help better the city. The housing market has also remained relatively stable within El Camino real, without the dramatic spike in housing costs that have been seen throughout Southern California.
These are just two of the communities trending in Southern California. Many cities throughout the area are growing and turning into some of the most livable communities in the country.
