Jennifer Lopez isn’t just a triple threat, she’s also added real estate guru to her resume considering all the deals she’s got under her belt. Her latest endeavor has been to re-list her Hidden Hills estate after a previous deal fell through. Now it’s back on the market for $12.5 million.
The former American Idol judge originally listed the home in early 2015 for $17 million, a year after she parted ways with her then-husband Marc Anthony. She reduced the asking price again to $14.5 million before lowering it one more time to $12.5 million in February 2016. The last time the home exchanged hands was in 2010 when it was sold for $8.2 million.
The expanse is situated in the prestigious Ashley Ridge part of Hidden Hills on a three-acre lot. A curved stone walkway that extends from the driveway to the front entrance leads to a large single front door flanked on either side and above with windows to fill the home with plenty of natural light. The foyer boasts soaring vaulted ceilings, wainscoting, and herringbone hardwood flooring.
Built in 1993, the nine-bedroom, 13-bathroom home is loaded with fireplaces – eight to be exact – helping to make the home as cozy and comfortable as possible. With 17,129 square feet to play around with, there is plenty of room for all sorts of amenities, including a work/entertainment wing complete with a bar, 20-seat theater, games area, wet bar, recording studio, dance studio, and dressing room.
The eat-in kitchen is adorned in army-green cabinets, cream-colored counters, and gray floors. Living spaces in the home include both informal and formal living rooms, a family room that leads out to an outdoor deck, a massive formal dining room that seats 12 comfortably, and a wood-paneled office. The master suite features a sitting area and private terrace.
The outdoor grounds include a stunning swimming pool, spa, plenty of seating areas around the pool, and a covered lounge area.
The new owner will have plenty of room to park multiple vehicles thanks to the eight-car garage with even more parking in the motor court. There is also a children’s play area and quick access to hiking trails.
Ms. Lopez always seems to be busy with a real estate deal in the works. In early 2016, she purchased an eight-acre Bel-Air estate for $28 million that was previously owned by actress Sela Ward.
