Actress Katherine Heigl’s former Loz Feliz home has hit the market for $2.995 million, as listed by its current owner. Hegel purchased it back in 2007 for $2.55 million, then sold it in 2013 for $2.622 million, not long after a very public fight with a neighbor.
The home is tucked behind a gated driveway with a 2-car garage. An interlocking walkway leads up to the single red front door flanked on either side by slender columns and rich greenery.
Built in 1922, the interior of the 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom Southern Colonial home is lathered in beautiful millwork and classic hardwood flooring. There is a strong vintage feel to the home with some spaces retaining their original tile work.
The 3,690-square-foot house is surrounded by French doors, which are featured in just about every space that lead to the backyard. Lots of bold colors are splattered throughout the home, giving its decor a vibrant look, yet subtle enough to not be overpowering. The teal blue library with wall-to-wall built-in bookshelves, the formal dining room with blue-and-white wallpaper, and the downstairs bathroom art deco wallpaper are perfect examples of the bold, yet tasteful, use of color in the home.
Despite some of the extravagant color and patterns in various rooms throughout the home, the kitchen is more minimalist in color, and features all-white cabinets, subway tile backsplash, gray counters, and plenty of natural light. This roomy space features two large islands and a breakfast room that leads out to one of the home’s verandas.
The master bedroom on the upper level is very light and airy and features an ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub, glass-enclosed shower, and French doors that lead out onto the deck with fabulous views of the city beyond.
Other notable spaces in the home include a quaint den with a built-in entertainment center and French doors to reach one of the verandas.
As one would expect of a Southern California home, there are plenty of outdoor living spaces throughout the property, including decks, a modest-sized pool surrounded by mature trees, a pool house, a cabana, and vast grass space.
Heigl and her country-singer husband Josh Kelley formerly owned another home in LA that they sold for $965,000 in 2011, and purchased another home in the area in 2007 for her mother.
