After only about a week-and-a-half of listing her Hollywood Hills home for $2.05 million, Sopranos actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler has already accepted an offer.
The 1936-built home received multiple offers after being listed, giving Ms. Sigler and her minor league baseball player hubby Cutter Dykstra plenty to choose from. In fact, the home was strategically priced in order to attract many bids and enter a multiple offer situation. The plan worked, and the yet-unnamed buyers are also negotiating the purchase of some of the home’s furniture.
The 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home was originally purchased by the actress in July 2012 for $1.601 million. It sits on 0.14-acre lot on a quiet cul-de-sac close to L.A.’s infamous Sunset Strip, and is reminiscent of Old Hollywood glamor with a modern twist.
The 2,187 square feet of space in the two-story home includes an open floor plan and glass walls that allow tons of natural light to ooze throughout. While the home doesn’t offer much in terms of views, it does provide the ultimate in privacy.
Entering the home through the sleek front door lends itself to a quaint center hall entrance that spills into a contemporary living room with dark floors, a beamed ceiling, and built-in bookshelves that flank the fireplace. A massive bay window overlooks the front yard, and wood-trimmed glass doors lead out to the backyard.
The formal dining area features French doors, and is conveniently open to the black-and-white gourmet kitchen, which boasts slab marble countertops, black and white cabinetry, and an impressive collection of stainless steel appliances, including a wine fridge, six-burner range, and a built-in coffee maker.
Two of the three bedrooms are located upstairs, each of which has its own remodeled ensuite bathrooms. The third bedroom is located downstairs, but the Sigler-Dykstras seem to have converted it into a family room that opens to a private patio.
The outdoor grounds feature patios in both the front- and backyards, offering all kinds of space to entertain. The front yard is enclosed in hedges that envelope the private terrace, and the backyard is cornered off by a stacked stone retaining wall. The backyard’s patio gives off a whimsical feel with its overhead strings of lights, along with its dining area and lounging terrace. The new buyers will certainly enjoy the remote-operated swimming pool and spa.
Jamie-Lynn is no stranger to real estate. She previously owned a massive condo close to Westwood Village in L.A. that she sold for $1.233 million in 2006. She also owned a 2,572-square-foot condo in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City that she sold for $2.9 million in 2008 after buying it two years earlier for $2.15 million. Ms. Sigler has also taken her real estate endeavors to other centers across the country, and previously owned homes Las Vegas, NV, and Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Since HBO’s incredibly popular show The Sopranos went off the air, the 35-year-old actress has kept her acting career in full swing by making appearances in recurring roles in shows such as “Baby Daddy,” “Entourage,” “Ugly Betty,” and “Guys With Kids.” She’s also starring in an upcoming high school comedy called “Loserville,” as well as a Western called “Justice.”
After selling their Hollywood home, the couple plans to stay within the Los Angeles area.
