Just about everyone and their dog has likely watched an episode or two of the highly popular television show ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, and one of the more popular characters on the show just happens to be none other than Dr. Owen Hunt, played by Kevin McKidd. The Hollywood actor is also famous for playing military leader Lucious Vorenus in “Rome,” and is know becoming known for his new role as “Landlord.”
For $7,900 per month, you can become McKidd’s tenant and move into his ultra-private Hollywood Hills home.
While not necessarily enormous as per Hollywood standards at approximately 1,600 square feet, the home is still extremely luxurious and stylish with a French/Tuscan flair and a touch of modern appeal. All the fabulous details throughout the home also contribute to the desirability and attractiveness of the abode.
Tucked behind a gate and drive walls, the home is as secluded as you would expect a Hollywood actor’s home to be, and is positioned between the infamous Laurel Canyon and Mulholland Drive.
The Scotland native and LA resident’s home features a quaint chef’s kitchen lined with custom cabinets and Viking and Sub-Zero appliances, which leads to a spacious open concept living and dining area with a fireplace and French doors.
The home also offers a separate guesthouse to accommodate for overnighters.
The master bedroom boasts a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom with a large soaker tub and a separate shower stall.
While the interior of the home is stunning on its own, perhaps it’s the property’s lush garden that is the true selling point of the home (even though it’s for lease). There is an overabundance of bushes, ornamental trees, flowers, and meticulously maintained lawns, all of which can be accessed by gravel walking paths. Topping off the outdoor space is a kidney-shaped swimming pool that’s located under a terraced seating area with a fire pit. And just about every room in the home offers amazing views of the garden to enjoy.
We’re not entirely sure why McKidd has chosen to vacate the property to have rented out, though it could be because the actor and his wife Jane have recently split up and are planning to divorce. They might be parting ways with each other and their home, but they claim to still continue to co-parent their two kids, Joseph and Iona.
McKidd is not just busy on the small screen – he’s also graced the big screen starting with his role as Tommy in 1996’s “Trainspotting,” then with roles in films such as “Kingdom of Heaven” and the Disney animated movie “Brave” (as a voice character). He’s also an experienced director, and even had his hand directing a few “Grey’s Anatomy” episodes.
Grey’s Anatomy fans may recall fellow cast member Patrick Dempsey listing his home for sale in mid-2015.
