Hailing from Canada and known for his roles in Green Lantern, Waiting… and Just Friends, Ryan Reynolds has had his Hollywood Hills home on the market for some time and reports show the actor was finally able to find a buyer. The quaint bungalow in the Outpost Estate sold for $1.405 million. He previously purchased the property for $1,715,000 in 2007. Even with the 14.2 percent year-over-year home value increase in the Hollywood Hills area, Reynolds took a loss selling the home.
Reynolds purchased the home prior to his short marriage with actress Scarlett Johansson, but the couple reportedly didn’t live in the home. In fact, Reynolds tried selling the residence in the past without any luck as the market in California was not ideal for sellers. He relisted the property in 2011 and then again in 2013.
However, the cozy home has a lot to offer. The 1,789-square-foot property features two bedrooms and three bathrooms as well as a chef’s kitchen, gated exterior and well-manicured landscape. The yard of the home boasts plenty of greenery, but little grass. The backyard has a covered porch ideal for sipping coffee or a glass of wine, and it leads out to a paved patio with a fire pit. The yard is private with surrounding walls and one patio space is bordered by greenery and features stunning canyon views as the home is elevated slightly.
Interior Decor of the Home
On the inside of the home, plenty of windows allow for ample sunshine and natural light to flood in. The interior is painted in a light, easily digestible shade of gray and the vaulted, wood-beamed ceilings are white, which creates an ultra airy feel. The living room’s wall of windows leads out to the backyard and opens up the home even more. There are also built-in cabinets for easy storage solutions. A cozy fireplace in the living room warms up the otherwise cool-toned space.
There is a large dining area that features floor-to-ceiling windows that open up into the backyard. The kitchen is laid out in a traditional galley style with updated appliances and ample counter space. All cabinets are white and large windows above the sink open the space up even more. A set of French doors open up to the spacious patio, perfect for an evening meal alfresco.
The home features stunning wide wood floor boards arranged horizontally for an extra splash of texture. Additionally, one wall in the living room features a modern wall paper, which is complemented well with the rest of the home’s simple decor.
