Longtime loves Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are letting go of their Pacific Palisades home they’ve shared together since buying it for $4,124,5990 in 2004. The property is now up for sale for $7.25 million.
The Colonial style, two-story house is situated on a .41-acre lot tucked behind rows of hedges and trees. Built in 1951, it’s been remodeled over the years while retaining some of its original charm.
The terracotta-hued walkway trimmed by lush florals leads to the unique Dutch-style front door set in a lovely architectural doorway, which opens up to wonderful light-filled living spaces. The living room oozes natural light thanks to its large skylight, and the room’s double French doors lead to the backyard oasis.
The spacious, inviting, off-white eat-in kitchen is adorned with quaint and novel checkerboard decor on the table, backsplash, draperies, and dishware on display. It also houses an oversized island and a breakfast nook with openings to the outside grounds via a number of French doors.
The 6,389 square feet of living space includes 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, with one of the bedrooms used as a guest suite in a private loft. The master suite features a river rock fireplace nestled between built-in shelving, a cozy sitting area, and his-and-hers closets. The master ensuite is a spa-like sanctuary that features a dry sauna, steam shower, and garden tub.
One of the upper-level bedrooms is dedicated to a fitness room, while another serves as a media room that overlooks the swimming pool, meticulously-kept green lawns, and plenty of patio space.
The popular Hollywood couple still own quite a bit of real estate, including a 5,722-square-foot mansion in a gated golf community in Palm Desert, CA, which they bought for $3.615 million in 2003. They also continue to hold title to a ranch property just outside of Snowmass, CO, and a 3,549-square-foot penthouse in Manhattan that they purchased in 1997 for $3.85 million. Let’s not forget about the vineyard in Santa Ynez Valley that they also own.
Mr. Russell once owned the home across the street, and sold it for $12 million in 2004 to Adam Sandler and his wife.
Last but not least, the couple also continue to own a home newly built on a half-acre lot they bought in 2011 for $5.7 million. Perhaps this will be their next long-term abode after retiring their prized residence.
