Hollywood movie-actress-turned-business-woman Jessica Alba is listing her starter home in Beverly Hills for a steep $11,500 per month price tag. Back in the day when Alba was priming her Hollywood career on the television show Dark Angel, she bought the 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home for $1.1 million in 2002.
The 2,286-square-foot home is tucked privately behind gates and security, and boasts plenty of character and chic mid-century decor, including dark hardwood floors, eclectic artwork, and cozy furniture. While listed as a 2-bedroom abode, the bonus room on the third level can be transformed into an additional bedroom if needed.
The kitchen’s dark cabinetry backed against light marble counters and backsplash make for an opulent-looking space within which to prepare meals and entertain guests.
The master bedroom’s ensuite bathroom is opulent with mustard-colored marble floors, dark cabinets, and a soaker tub with a flat screen television right above.
Built in 1980, the three-story home guides residents through French doors which lead to a spacious sun-soaked terrace overlooking the rest of the neighborhood.
The lower level of the home features a stunning circular staircase to the above, and is perfect for entertaining lots of guests with its bar, pool table, and 80-inch flat screen TV. It also makes for the ideal place to cozy up by the fireplace and take in breathtaking views of downtown LA.
Since her early days in showbiz, Alba founded The Honest Company, a booming firm that is currently valued at a whopping $1.7 billion. Thanks to the boost in cash from her business endeavors – along with her equally successful Hollywood career – Alba now resides in a much bigger – and more expensive – home with her husband Cash Warner and their two young children that they bought for $4.05 million in 2008 in the same neighborhood. Rather than giving up her starter home completely after moving out, Alba has chosen to rent it out instead and generate some passive income.
Their current home is as fantastic as one would imagine Jessica Alba’s house to be. In fact, she even opened her doors and had her home featured in Better Homes and Gardens earlier this year.
The Fantastic Four star continues to own many other properties with her hubby. The couple also owns a 13-acre piece of vacant land in Beverly Hills that they bought years ago for $2 million. Time will tell if the couple plans to develop real estate with this property.
Alba is keeping the marketing of her listing in the family by getting her real estate agent father to lease the property for her!
