Funnyman George Lopez is looking forward to his new FX show “Saint George” set to premiere March 6, and he also has a new abode in the Loz Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. After a divorce from his wife, Lopez was in search of the perfect sanctuary to call home.
The stunning property was purchased for $2.67 million last September and it features 4,100 square feet of space, 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The home sits on a third of an acre of land that is perfectly manicured with tropical plants, towering palms and colorful flowers. His home also features a wine room and city views.
The private master suite boasts a secluded balcony and French doors that both let in light and a gentle breeze, and perfectly embodies the Mediterranean lifestyle. The room is spacious and airy with an on-suite bathroom. Another room also has a small terrace with French doors, as well.
Lopez’s kitchen is truly one-of-a-kind and fits large groups of people.
The kitchen is decorated in floor-to-ceiling neutral tones and matching backsplash, countertops and flooring. The cabinetry is a light finish with crown molding and several glass-faced upper cabinets. It also features a double built-in oven, in addition to a large stainless steel gas stove. Counter space is far from an issue in this kitchen. Instead of one island with seating, Lopez has a massive double island that can seat four with room to spare. Two large windows let plenty of light into the space and give the kitchen an overall airy feel.
Arched doorways keep up with the Mediterranean theme, as well as rustic wood-beamed ceilings in the living room. While the space itself isn’t overly grand, it’s welcoming and warm. A beautiful fireplace is the centerpiece of the room. Lopez keeps up natural wood finishes throughout the room that flow into the rest of the home. This is no different in the dining room. The large space features warm scones and an iron candelabra chandelier above the six-seat dining table. The room opens up directly to the porch with three sets of French doors.
Lush Outdoor Space
Upon reaching the home, guests are met with a winding, brick-paved driveway and walkway that is dotted with brightly hued flowers and a water fountain.
The shining features of the home are most definitely found outside. The lush landscape evokes a feeling of a tropical oasis. The backyard boasts a large pool and patio area covered by a pergola. The backyard is slightly elevated and offers beautiful views of the surrounding greenery. Heading down to the pool, the space is gated with an attached hot tub and plenty of space to lounge around. A small pathway leads through overgrown trees and shrubbery, which even further evokes the feel of living in a tropical jungle.
