Cindy Crawford may have initially made a name for herself as a supermodel, but she’s adding another title to her resume: house flipper.
Cindy and her husband, Rande Gerber, have listed their ocean-front beach house in Encinal Bluffs, Malibu for a whopping $60 million after paying $50.5 million for it just last year. Since their purchase, the power couple put their own personal touch on it with a remodeling job that they are hoping garners them a near $10 million profit.
The couple also continue to be long-time owners of a multi-structure property just next door to the home they’ve just recently listed. They reportedly plan to keep a few acres of the property to add to their current residence. New updates that have been made to the home include remodeled bathrooms and an updated kitchen.
The 5,200-square-foot, two-story stunner which was built in 1944 sits on California’s highly coveted Pacific Coast Highway with stunning views of the expansive waters. To access the secluded mansion, a long winding driveway meanders through the home’s expansive 3-acre lot, and past a tennis court before approaching the front entrance.
To make the most of the incredible open views, the 3-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home is lined with walls of floor-to-ceiling windows that capture the essence of the outdoor natural wonder. The open concept layout blends the chef’s kitchen with a breakfast bar, dining area, great room, and media room, the latter of which can be converted to a potential fourth bedroom.
The living room area leads to a gorgeous winding staircase for access to the second level.
For maximum enjoyment of the views, an oversized wrap-around deck directly faces the ocean, and boasts a fire pit, which completes the outdoor living space along with the swimming pool, shaded open-air pavilion, and spa. The beach can be conveniently accessed via the home’s own private path.
The same spectacular views can be enjoyed from the luxurious master bedroom, which also comes with a fireplace, large dressing closets, a sitting area, and two spa-like ensuite bathrooms. The home also features two other separate bedroom suites that each have their own private entrances.
Crawford and Gerber’s first Malibu flip happened just last year when they sold a home for $13.341 million at Point Dume that they extensively renovated after paying just $6 million for it the year before.
