Leonardo DiCaprio Has Listed Another Los Angeles home
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio just listed his oceanfront estate in Malibu, a second in just a month. This ranch-style home was purchased in 2014 for $2.05 million. The exterior has a charming cottage feel, but the inside boasts a spacious 3,407 square feet, situated on a .15-acre lot in the much sought after Colfax Meadows neighborhood. This is one of Studio City’s most established areas and a popular place for celebrities to put down roots. With four-bedrooms, this house is complete with beautiful high ceilings, wood floors and exposed beams in the plush kitchen. French doors in the master bedroom lead to the beautifully manicured backyard. The home is listed for an asking price of $2.395 million.
The Former Spelling Mansion Looks to Top Playboy Mansion in Sale Price
Two and a half years ago the Fleur de Lys sold for a whopping $102 million, which took the role of the highest sale price in Los Angeles history. At the time many looked at the price as a chart topper, but now a new listing might set the bar even higher. The Spelling Family Mansion has been listed for a staggering $200 million. This asking price may be slightly unrealistically inflated, but it will likely set a new record high sale price in LA. There have been many contenders for highest sale price, with the Palazzo di Amore and Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion at the top of the list, however none have been able to earn the title. Now in contention is the Spelling mansion, which is currently owned by Petra Ecclestone Stunt, who has listed the 56,500-square-foot mansion in Holmby Hills for $200 million. The 123-room home was purchased from Candy Spelling in 2011 for $85 million cash, and since that time Stunt has embarked in extensive renovations of the property. Several years later with approximately $30 million spent on remodeling, the home is now on the market and looking to set the bar.
Los Angeles home once owned by Tina and Ike Turner lists for $999K
The former home of Tina and Ike Turner has hit the market for just under one million. It is located in the View Park neighborhood and was built in 1956. While some may say the home needs remodeling, the four-bedroom home has held onto the look and feel of a true 1970’s home with a tiled fireplace, shag carpets and a circular bed in the master bedroom. It is a nostalgic throwback to an eclectic era of home décor. The current owners bought the home in 1977 from the Turners and much of the furniture remains original to the design created by Tina. With so much of the original character in place, the house was used in filming the 1993’s movie What’s Love Got to Do With It, based on the life and struggle of the couple.
