Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Midcentury Home for Sale
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has put his Modern-style Midcentury home on the market. Located in the Echo Park area and designed by Daniel L. Dworsky, the post-and-beams home was originally constructed in 1953. Resting on one acre of land and boasting views of the valley, canyon and city, the home has since been renovated by Scrafano Architects.
Featuring an open floor plan and walls made of floor-to-ceiling glass, the three-bedroom home offers two bathrooms, an updated kitchen with a breakfast bar and a dining area. Other features include polished concrete floors, a two-sided fireplace dividing the living room, an outdoor dining room and a two-vehicle carport situated below the house. Other outdoor features include an orchard and terraced vegetable gardens.
According to public records, Garcetti originally purchased the property in 2000 for $345,000. They have now listed the home on the market for $1.65 million.
Selena Gomez’s Calabasas Home Hits the Market

Originally purchased by pop star in 2014 for $3.69 million, the five-bedroom home boasts six bathrooms, a guesthouse with an additional bedroom and bathroom, three acres of land and a total 7,768 square feet of living space. Other features include a walk-in wine cellar, a grand staircase, a two-story wall of windows, high ceilings, a media center, an office and a kitchen with double dishwashers, double ovens, an oversized island, an elegant breakfast nook and a full bar. Outdoor features include a swimming pool, a spa, an outdoor kitchen with a brick pizza oven and an outdoor dining area.
Benji Madden’s Los Angeles Bachelor’s Pad Put Up for Sale
Pop-punk band rocker Benji Madden, known for forming the group Good Charlotte in 1996 along with his twin brother, has put his 2,183-square-foot home on the market. Recently wed to Cameron Diaz, Madden no longer has a need for the three-bedroom, 1950s ranch-style bungalow. Located just a short drive from Hollywood Boulevard in a hilly section of the city, the home boasts an open floor plan, three bathrooms and a terrace at the back end that extends into the woods of the secluded half-acre property. Due to its location, the home affords picturesque views of the rolling hills and lush greens. Other interior features include a sky-lit den, pine paneled vaulted ceilings, a river rock fireplace and built-in storage cabinets.
According to property records, Madden purchased the home in 2013 for $1.125 million. The home, which has reportedly undergone some upgrades and renovations since Madden’s purchase, is listed for $1.495 million.
