Travis Barker, the drummer behind American rock band Blink-182, has just placed his modern home in the upscale LA neighborhood of Cheviot Hills on the market for $4.75 million. The rock star bought the remodeled property in 2014 for $4 million.
The 4,173-square-foot custom-built expanse is situated on a .21-acre corner lot tucked behind gates, and is very close to the Rancho Park golf course, Century City, and Fox Studios. The property is incredibly modern and stylish and features clean lines and sophisticated design.
A grand foyer greets guests upon entering, and features porcelain-tiled flooring and wood planks lining the ceiling. Leading from the foyer is a spacious living/dining room combination that oozes tons of natural light thanks to the 10-foot windows and 13-foot ceilings.
The modern all-white kitchen features custom cabinetry, a white marble backsplash, and an extremely long center island that seats seven comfortably. Just like the foyer, the kitchen also boasts a unique wood-planked ceiling. But perhaps whats most appealing about this space is that it’s partially open to the outdoors because of its retractable glass wall which opens to a covered terrace, creating an indoor-outdoor living space that’s unparalleled.
The second-level master bedroom comes with all the bells and whistles, including a massive ensuite bathroom with walnut cabinets and three walk-in closets. The second of four bedrooms has its own private ensuite, while the remaining two share a bathroom.
The outdoor living space is outfitted with a built-in BBQ, al fresco dining area, large flatscreen TV, and solar-heated saltwater swimming pool.
Other notable features of the contemporary home include an office and a spacious laundry room, both of which come equipped with built-ins, as well as a media room.
The drummer continues to own a nearly 3,000-square-foot residence in the Bel Air Crest neighborhood that he bought in 2010 for $1.465 million, as well as a 9,253-square-foot home in Calabasas that he bought with ex-wife Shanna Moakler in 2007 for $9.5 million. His real estate portfolio also includes properties in Lake Elsinore and Rancho Cucamonga that are assumed to have been purchased either for investment purposes or for family members.
While Blink-182 broke up for a while, the band is back together and touring once again. Barker is also embarking on a solo album.
