There has been plenty of celebrity activity in the Southern California real estate market lately. Here’s a look at a few of the properties that celebrities have recently purchased or put on the market.
Rebel Wilson Purchases West Hollywood Home
Rebel Wilson has reportedly purchased a 4,400-square-foot home in West Hollywood for $2.95 million, which is about $350,000 below the original asking price for the home. The actress and comedian had previously purchased a home in Hollywood Hills in 2014 that boasted a few touches of Hollywood glam, including a pattern-clashing bathroom. The new five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom West Hollywood home, which was constructed in 2015, appears to be more traditional in style. Some features of the home include a luxurious master bathroom, a spacious kitchen with a quartz-topped island, two beverage coolers, a cupboard-under-the-stairs wine cellar, a saltwater pool and an outdoor fireplace.
Adele Purchases Beverly Hills Estate for $9.5 Million
Singer Adele has reportedly purchased a 6,500-square-foot home in the gated and guarded Beverly Hills community of Hidden Valley for $9.5 million. Among her celebrity neighbors are Jennifer Lawrence and Zoe Saldana. Features of the four-bedroom, six-bathroom home include a master bedroom boasting two closets and a bonus room, two formal living rooms, a formal dining room, beamed ceilings, fireplaces and a two-story foyer at the entrance. The home also boasts a large landscaped lot with mature trees and a backyard featuring a treehouse, a pool and spa and an outdoor train set.
Carroll O’Connor’s Home Asking $31.5 Million
Known for his role on All in the Family, Carroll O’Connor’s former residence in Broad Beach has been placed on the market for $31.5 million. The lovely midcentury estate, which rests on three lots, was the family home of the late actor from the 1950s to 2007 when it was sold to its current owners. Covering over one acre of space, the midcentury estate features a four-bedroom, four-bathroom house constructed in 1953. The estate also offers a guesthouse, mature gardens, fantastic views and 126 feet of beach frontage. The estate also has Coastal Commission-approved plans to replace the main home with a 10,000-square-foot contemporary home featuring five bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, two offices and a gym with a sauna.
Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams’s Place Home on the Market
Singer/actress Mandy Moore and singer Ryan Adams are filing divorce, so the couple has placed their Los Feliz home on the market for $3.199 million. Purchased by Moore before she married Adams, the couple shared the home for the six years they were married. Situated on a private street in the Oaks neighborhoods, the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home was originally constructed in 1927. Since then, it has received upgrades including a great kitchen with a butcher block-topped island and a walk-in pantry. Other features include the original staircase, wood floors and a terraced backyard. Moore purchased the home for $1.725 million in 2002.
