From Santa Barbara to San Diego, the Prudential California Realty Luxury Properties Division is representing a growing number of home buyers and sellers of properties over $10 million.
The company has always done a significant amount of business in Southern California’s most exclusive communities. Last August, it launched an exclusive Luxury Properties Division to leverage its strengths in the ultra high end market.
A core group of highly experienced luxury agents from the Central Coast to San Diego collaborated on the creation of the division. The goal was to take full advantage of the company’s worldwide connections and alliances, collaborative agent network, proprietary contact lists, and powerful marketing resources to reach the elite circle of luxury buyers worldwide. The new division includes an exclusive website, www.luxsocal.com.
“This division has been a key factor in helping us expand and strengthen our already powerful networking resources and take full advantage of growing activity in the ultra high end market,” noted Jon Cook, the company’s president and CEO. In the first year following its launch, Prudential California Realty sold nearly a thousand high-end properties for a total of four billion dollars.
Recent sales have included a traditional estate designed by architect Paul Williams, set on nearly three acres in Brentwood Park. Emil Alexander of the Pacific Palisades office represented the seller of the magnificent property, which sold for $15.1 million.
9,800-square-foot seven-bedroom, eleven-bath estate in La Jolla, set on two lots overlooking the coastline, recently sold for over $17 million. Brian Guiltinan of the Rancho Santa Fe office represented the buyer.
The buyer of a $14 million home on the sand in the gated part of Del Mar Beach was represented by Del Mar agent Wendy Ramp. Up the coast, Laguna Beach colleague Gordon Cowan co-represented the owner of a landmark Georgian Colonial Harbor Island estate that sold in the mid-$20 million range.
The luxury momentum continues. In Laguna Beach, an historic treasure on one of California’s last private beaches has been listed by the Weir Team. Built by the creators of the fabled Mission Inn, Villa Rockledge, a mecca during Hollywood’s Golden Age, is on the National Register of Historic Places. The spectacular oceanfront compound is offered at $29.9 million.
In Rancho Santa Fe, Jo Sawyer has listed Casa del Sol, a European-inspired compound with two guest houses and separate spa structure. Crafted with materials from around the world and highlighted by an array of grand outdoor living areas, the estate is on the market for $29.9 million.
Santa Barbara agent Kathleen Winter has listed a 22-acre beachfront estate in Montecito’s guard gated Sea Meadow enclave. The property, which commands panoramic ocean, island and coastline views, is offered at $29,650,000.
In Bel Air, a 1930's style Colonial compound by Tim Morrison commands sweeping views from the Pacific to the downtown LA skyline. The 1.6 acre property, represented by Scott Strassner of the Beverly Hills office, is listed at $26 million.
A 1930 masterpiece featuring ocean views from almost every room is being represented by La Jolla luxury team Maxine and Marti Gellens. Filled with meticulously detailed Old World craftsmanship, it was completely renovated and expanded in 2006. The fully furnished estate is listed at $10.5 million.
